S&P 500 Futures

Market Pressures_

Copper is at a target. Gold and Silver had a late week move up.

Crude followed thru thru the prior week’s move up, could test $50.

The US 30-yr Treasury bonds followed the precious metals up but price pressures remain down.

The US dollar futures continue their move down.

S&P 500 Futures_

Monthly – Still at the highs. Trade pressures are up. The April month’s volume closed bullish from neutral last month.

Weekly – Closed above the 2077 long confirmation last week and closed below that level this week. Trade pressures are up and extended. Volumes have changed from bullish to neutral.

Daily – Short. The short entry price is 2072. Trade pressures are down. Volumes are bearish.

Hourly trade pressures are up. Looking for a price improvement towards that entry price to take the trade.

S&P 500 Futures

Market Pressures_

Metals are mixed. Copper is still in a rally mode but at targets. Gold is looking weaker. Silver has made a nice move up to its targets.

Crude Oil has made a move up to the first profit target. Nat gas has started a new move up.

The US 30 year Treasury bond has begun a move lower.

And the US Dollar futures are consolidating at the 94 level.

S&P 500 futures_ ESM16.  HMUZ contracts. Trading can occur up to 8:30 a.m. on the 3rd Friday of the contract month.

Monthly – At the highs. Trade pressures are up. The March volume closed neutral.

Weekly – Price has closed above the 2077 long confirmation level. Trade pressures are extended up. Volumes remain bullish.

Daily – Flat. In the move up from 2072 long entry level. How ever the old highs at 2100 have offered resistance as expected. Trade pressures are up and beginning to decline. Volumes have changed to neutral.

So some pullback inside this uptrend seems likely. But need a close below 2035 to change the trend to down.

 

S&P 500 Futures

Market Pressures_

Copper is in a new move up. Gold is wandering sideways. Silver is at the first profit target in a move up.

Crude Oil has met upside targets and is in a small retracement. Nat Gas has no direction.

The US 30yr Treasury bond is trying to move up in price.

The US Dollar futures are down at a target and are also near a possible change in direction.

Monthly – The old monthly high is 2109. Trade pressures are up. Volumes closed neutral for March.

Weekly – Closed at 2074 just shy of the weekly long confirmation level, 2077. Trade pressures are up and fully extended. Volumes are bullish.

Daily – Flat. The close above the 2072 level has triggered a new long entry. Trade pressures are up. Volumes are bullish.

The next target up is 2081 and the stop is 2012, so not much room to trade and the risk outweighs the return.

S&P 500 Futures

Market Pressures_

Copper has met it’s profit target and continues lower. Gold and Silver are in congestion.

Crude has started a new move up. Natural Gas is congesting with an upward bias.

The US30yr Treasury bond is moving up in price for a possible test of the recent highs.

The US Dollar futures remain in the down-move.

S&P 500 Futures_

Monthly – a monthly close below 1886 would confirm a move down. Trade pressures are now up for the month. Volumes closed neutral for March.

Weekly – The 2077 level is the long confirmation of a new move up but price can’t get thru. Trade pressures are up and now extended. Volumes remain bullish.

Daily – Flat. Consolidating around the 2042 upside profit target of the 1852 February move up. The next target up is 2106. Trade pressures are down. Volumes have turned to bearish.

The year-end closes for both 2014 and 2015 are acting as support. A close below 2008 could signal lower.

S&P 500 Futures

Market Pressures_

Gold and Silver are in a retracement of the up-move. Copper is in a move down as well.

Crude Oil and Natural Gas are down, retracing a recent move up.

The US 30yr Treasury bond price is testing a new long entry.

The US dollar continues the move down.

Monthly – The month of March closed up near the highs. Trade pressures closed up. Volumes closed the March month as neutral.

Weekly – Nearing the new long confirmation of 2077. Trade pressures are up, perhaps extended. Volumes remain bullish.

Daily – Flat. In the move up. Trade pressures are up. Volumes remain bullish.

Price is above the 200 day moving average. Have traded up thru the 2014 year end and the 2015 year end closes after trading below the 2013 year end close in this first quarter.

The 2042 target has been met. The next target up is 2106 and 2136.
A close below 2034 could signal lower

 

S&P 500 Futures

Market Pressures_

Metals are in a move down. Copper is a new short.

Oil is in a pullback into the 30’s. Nat Gas has stopped out a long trade.

The US 30yr T-Bond  has moved up out of short territory.

The US Dollar futures rally inside the longer term decline.

Monthly – Not much change in the monthly pressures. Trade pressures are rising into the neutral zone. The February monthly volume close was bullish.

Weekly – Still in downtrend. Trade pressures are up and extended. Volume for the week was a very low neutral as the long weekend Easter holiday approached.

Daily – Traded down to near the new short entry but closed above that 2010 level at the close. Trade pressures are up but declining. Volumes remained bullish thru out the week.

S&P 500 Futures

Metals are all showing some downside pressure.

Crude has moved up to the expected targets. Nat gas has generated a new long position.

Still looking for a pullback in the US 30yr Tbond prices.

The US Dollar futures are in a decided down move.

Monthly – Closed above the 2015 year-end close, but tucked up into a resistance area, but above the 25×5 moving average. Trade pressures are up to neutral. The February volume close was bullish.

Weekly – Still in a downtrend but four weeks of bullish volume is significant. Trade pressures are up. Need a close above 2077 to confirm a new move up.

Daily – Flat. Closed above the 2019 profit target. The next target up is 2106. Trade pressures are up and trending. Volumes remain bullish.

A close below 2010 would signal lower.

S&P 500 Futures

Market Pressures_

Metals have reached targets and are consolidating.

Oil and Gas both have had upward moves but are now in oversold territory.

US Treasury Bond prices are moving down.

The US Dollar futures are in a new downtrend.

Monthly – Have move up smartly off the 1888 short confirmation level. Trade pressures are rising and about to cross into the plus side. Volumes closed February as bullish.

Weekly – Still in the down trend. a close above 2076 would signal higher. Trade pressures are up. Volumes are bullish now for three weeks.

Daily – Flat. In the uptrend. Price did trade well below 1974 on Thursday, but closed that day above and continued up strongly into the Friday close. Trade pressures are up and trending. Volumes are bullish.

The next target up is 2028. Need a close below 1980 to signal a change.

 

S&P 500 Futures

Market Pressures_

All the metals are up. Copper has moved all week, perhaps in concert with the Chinese ETF, FXI. Gold broke out for a second leg up. Silver made a retracement move down and then turned to the upside late last week.

Crude performed well. Nat gas continued the downtrend, but is near downside targets.

The US 30 yr Treasury bond price pulled back inside its uptrend.

The US Dollar futures contract is showing some potential weakness.

S&P 500 Futures_

Monthly – Again the monthly short confirmation was rejected. Trade pressures are down but rising. The February monthly volume closed as bullish.

Weekly – Still in the downtrend, but back at the 25×5 resistance line. Trade pressures have risen to neutral. Volumes have remained bullish for two weeks.

Daily – Flat. The 1982 target profit target was reached. The futures price is now above 2000 and in between the 80 day and the 200 day moving averages. The next target up is 2028. But, we should expect some resistance here.

Trade pressures are up and trending. Volumes are bullish.

A close below 1974 would signal lower.

Copper is in a long trade. Gold and Silver are in a move down.

Crude is consolidating at this US$30 level; looking for a long entry.

The US 30yr Treasury bond price is losing some steam.

However, the US Dollar futures (DX) have rebounded. Money Flows changing?

Monthly – The 1896 short confirmation level is holding. Trade pressures are down. The volume close for January was bullish. [2/29/16: The February volume closed bullish as well.]

Weekly – Still in the downtrend. Trade pressures are down but rising. Volumes have changed from neutral to bullish.

Daily – Flat. Still in the move up from the 1872 long entry price. The next profit target up is 1982. Price is now in a new uptrend. trade pressures are up, but fully extended. Volumes remain bullish.

A close below 1936 would signal lower.
